Parking and Transportation

 
Transportation, flow of traffic, parking, and campus visitation are an integral part of ensuring a safe and secure environment on and off campus. We have and continue to work closely with the LAPD and Los Angeles Department of Transportation to improve upon established policies and implementation strategies. As a result, we have established plans that will enhance flow and maintain security for students, faculty, staff, parents, and campus visitors.
 

Transportation

We currently offer a bus service to and from Glendale and Burbank. New routes may soon be available based on interest. 
 
There are many benefits to signing up for bus transportation. Here are just a few examples:
 
1. School Buses Reduce Your Family's Carbon Footprint
The positive impact you and your child will make on the environment by choosing the school bus is substantial. According to studies, each school bus on the road replaces 36 cars, saving 2.3 billion gallons of fuel, $6 billion, and 44.6 billion pounds of CO2 nationally.

Did you know that studies have shown that the school bus is your child's safest ride to and from school? The safety record for school bus transportation exceeds that of all other modes of travel.

When you choose to use the school bus instead of driving your child to school, you're not only keeping your child safer and reducing your family's carbon footprint, you're saving money, too.

Flow of Traffic

To ease the flow of traffic and make drop off a breeze during the morning hours, please review the map below and make sure to follow the guidelines below.

Alexandria Ave. Drop Off:

  • During the morning hours of 7:45 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. there is a designated drop off lane where faculty and staff will be ready to help your child(ren) exit the vehicle and enter the school quickly and safely.  This is the lane heading south on Alexandria Ave (refer to the map below).  Please keep an eye out for Drop Off Zone Signs.
  • We ask that you enter the drop off lane carefully.
  • Please remember to STOP ONLY at the designated drop off area/lane. 
  • Come to a complete stop so your child(ren) may exit the car. PLEASE DO NOT get out of the car yourself.
  • Wait for a faculty member to allow you to drive off after he/she determines it safe to do so.  We ask that you exit the drop off lane carefully.
  • Begin to drive off slowly and carefully and then merge into regular traffic. 
 

Mariposa Ave. Drop Off:

  • During the morning hours of 7:45 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. there will a designated drop off lane where faculty and staff will be ready to help your child(ren) exit the vehicle and enter the school quickly and safely.  (This is the lane heading north on Mariposa (refer to the map below)
  • All TK and Kindergarten students must be dropped off at the Mariposa Ave. entrance.
  • We ask that you enter the drop off lane carefully.
  • Please remember to STOP ONLY at the designated drop off area/lane. 
  • Come to a complete stop so your child(ren) may exit the car. Please do not get out of the car yourself.
  • Wait for faculty member to allow you to drive off after he/she determines it safe to do so.  We ask that you exit the drop off lane carefully.
  • Begin to drive off slowly and carefully and then merge into regular traffic.
 
 
 
 

 

Parking

Parking lots on either side of the Church are ONLY available to Faculty and Staff. Students, parents, and other community members will NOT be allowed to park in that lot on a daily basis.
 
A helpful suggestion would be to pick-up your child(ren) (4th Grade and above) closer to 3:45 PM.  By that time, traffic has eased some and parking is more manageable.  After 4:00 PM, many spots become available and pick-up can be done with ease.
 
Note that from time to time, when we have a big event, parking may be available at neighborhood sites. The availability of these lots will be communicated to parents at the time of the event.
