Parking and Transportation

Transportation, flow of traffic, parking, and campus visitation are an integral part of ensuring a safe and secure environment on and off campus. We have and continue to work closely with the LAPD and Los Angeles Department of Transportation to improve upon established policies and implementation strategies. As a result, we have established plans that will enhance flow and maintain security for students, faculty, staff, parents, and campus visitors.

Transportation

We currently offer a bus service to and from Glendale, La Crescenta, and Burbank. New routes may soon be available based on interest. If interested in signing up for our Glendale or La Crescenta bus route, please complete the Bus Guidelines and Waiver Form.

There are many benefits to signing up for bus transportation. Here are just a few examples:

1. School Buses Reduce Your Family's Carbon Footprint
The positive impact you and your child will make on the environment by choosing the school bus is substantial. According to studies, each school bus on the road replaces 36 cars, saving 2.3 billion gallons of fuel, $6 billion, and 44.6 billion pounds of CO2 nationally.

2. The School Bus is Your Child's Safest Ride to School
Did you know that studies have shown that the school bus is your child's safest ride to and from school? The safety record for school bus transportation exceeds that of all other modes of travel.

3. Riding the Bus is Cost Efficient
When you choose to use the school bus instead of driving your child to school, you're not only keeping your child safer and reducing your family's carbon footprint, you're saving money, too.

Additional Benefits
  • Not having to look for parking
  • Not having to deal with traffic around school
  • Not worrying about wear and tear on your car

We hope you consider the benefits and advantages of choosing the school bus for your child(ren)'s transportation to and from school.

Parking

• Faculty and Staff park at the LDS parking lot on Mariposa. Please note that this parking lot is ONLY available to Faculty and Staff.  Students, parents, and other community members will NOT be allowed to park in that lot on a daily basis, but may continue to do so during special events as necessary.

• North Lot (Small Church lot): This lot will be reserved for 12th Grade Scholars. For this academic year, seniors will be allowed to park in the lot on a first come first serve basis. Note that the gate will be locked from 8:10 am -2:35 pm during semester 1 and 8:10 am – 1:10 pm during semester 2. Late arrivals and early dismissals will not be allowed.

• South Lot (Large Church lot): This lot will be available all day for parents and guests. Students will NOT be able to park in this lot.  Please note, that if you need to double park your car, please make sure to leave a note on your car dashboard with your name and phone number so that you can be reached in case you need to move your car earlier than planned.

A helpful suggestion would be to pick-up your child(ren) (4th Grade and above) later than 3:45 PM.  By that time, traffic has eased some and parking is more manageable.  After 4:00 PM, many spots become available and pick-up can be done with ease.

Note that from time to time, when we have a big event, there is parking available at neighborhood sites, like the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints located on Mariposa Ave.

The availability of these lots will be communicated to parents at the time of the event.
