Elementary (Grades K-5)

Six years of progress through the grades in six chronological years is the standard expectancy for students. Identification of primary students (K-3) who are having difficulty in mastering basic skills is accomplished as early as possible in the primary grades.

To be promoted to the next grade level, students must meet the following criteria:

A. Master the basic skills at all academic classes (both Armenian and English).

B. Achieve an overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 (or an overall grade of "C") by the end of the year.

C. Attend at least 85% of school days, except in special circumstances.

D. Avoid major disciplinary infractions.

E. Receive teachers' recommendations for promotion.
